1. What Are Cookies?
1.1 "Cookies" are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. 2.2 This storage entry is set as soon as you interact with the cookie banner or preference modal. It does not track you, contains no unique identifier linked to you personally, and is not shared with any third party.
Analytics cookies (consent required)
2.3 We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Measurement ID: G-M1FD3FT9WS — to understand how visitors use synelo.co.uk. Analytics cookies are only loaded after you enable the Analytics category, either by clicking "Accept All" on the banner or by enabling Analytics in the preference modal. If you do not consent, no GA4 cookies are set.

2.4 When analytics cookies are active, GA4 collects: pages visited, time spent on each page, browser type and version, operating system, approximate geographic location (country and city level — not precise location), referral source, and device type. This data is retained within Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted.
2.5 Google Analytics data may be transferred to Google servers in the United States. This transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy.
Performance cookies (consent required)
2.6 We use Contentsquare on synelo.co.uk to measure how visitors interact with pages — including scroll depth, click patterns, and page load performance — so we can improve the site experience. Contentsquare cookies are only loaded after you enable the Performance category in the preference modal. If you do not consent, no Contentsquare cookies are set.

Marketing cookies (consent required)
2.8 We use the Meta Pixel (Pixel ID: 2023409271546705) on synelo.co.uk to measure the effectiveness of our advertising and to help us reach people who may be interested in Synelo products. Marketing cookies are only loaded after you enable the Marketing category, either by clicking "Accept All" on the banner or by enabling Marketing in the preference modal. If you do not consent, no Meta cookies are set.

3. What We Do Not Do With Cookies
3.1 Even where we use the cookies described in section 2, the following practices do not occur on synelo.co.uk:
- No cookies are set by mere page load without consent — all analytics, performance, and marketing cookies are only activated after you have made an explicit choice via the consent banner or preference modal.
- No automatic advertising network cookies — we do not allow third-party advertising networks to set cookies on this site independently of our disclosed tools.
- No cross-site profiling for sale — we do not allow any third party to use this website to build a behavioural profile of you for the purpose of selling that profile or targeting you on unrelated websites.
- No social media auto-cookies — social media widgets or "like" buttons that automatically set cookies when a page loads are not embedded on this site. The Meta Pixel we use is loaded only with your explicit marketing consent and is subject to the disclosures in section 2.
- No undisclosed cookies — we do not set any cookie or browser storage item that is not described in this policy. If you discover an undisclosed cookie on this site, please report it to us at hello@synelo.co.uk.
3.2 We review our cookie usage periodically. If our practices change in a way that requires this policy to be updated, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before activating any new cookies.
4. How to Manage Your Consent
4.1 When you first visit synelo.co.uk, a consent banner is displayed at the bottom of the page. You have two options:
- Accept All — enables all cookie categories (analytics, performance, and marketing). All relevant cookies and tracking scripts are activated immediately.
- Manage Preferences — opens the preference modal, where you can enable or disable each non-essential category individually before saving your choice.
4.2 Inside the preference modal you will find four rows: Necessary (always on, cannot be disabled), Analytics, Performance, and Marketing. Each non-essential row has a toggle. You can also click "Reject All" at the bottom of the modal to disable all non-essential categories at once, or "Save Preferences" to confirm your individual choices.
4.3 Your choices are stored in localStorage under the key synelo_consent as a JSON object recording your individual category preferences and the timestamp of your last decision. The banner will not reappear until you clear your browser's local storage or delete the entry manually.
4.4 To update your preferences at any time, use the preference centre below on this page. You can also delete your synelo_consent entry manually via your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → synelo.co.uk → delete the synelo_consent entry → reload the page), which will cause the consent banner to reappear.

5. Browser Controls
5.1 All modern browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can set your browser to refuse all cookies, to alert you when cookies are being set, or to delete cookies after each session. Please note that if you block all cookies, some parts of some websites may not function correctly — though this is unlikely to affect synelo.co.uk significantly given the limited number of cookies we use. 6. Impact of Declining or Disabling Cookies
6.1 Declining analytics cookies — or disabling cookies in your browser entirely — does not affect the core functionality of synelo.co.uk. All content on this website, including product information, company information, and the contact form, remains fully accessible regardless of your cookie preference.
6.2 The only consequence of declining analytics cookies is that your visit will not be included in our aggregate website usage statistics. This means we have less data to inform improvements to the site, but it has no impact on your experience as a visitor.
